STAGE 1 OF 8

SELECT YOUR PLAYER

This is the crew. There are up to 5 seats, and Robert (P1) is already in. Hit PRESS START on an open slot and type your name to claim yours. For now the name only saves in your own browser, so tell Robert in person too. 1985 rules.

P1 ROBERT
Paperwork

Beer fund
P2 OPEN SEAT

Brings: brains, a few hours, ideas.

P3 OPEN SEAT

Brings: whatever he's good at. We'll find a use.

P4 OPEN SEAT

Brings: the one idea nobody else thought of.

STAGE 2 OF 8

POWER-UPS ON THE TABLE

This is what Anthropic's Claude Startups program gives a small team for free. Numbers are as published in October 2026, in USD. Bootstrapped teams are allowed, so no investors needed.

5 EXTRA LIVES

Up to 5 Claude Team Premium seats, free for a year. That's about $6K worth at retail.

$1,000 COINS

API credit to build real products on. It expires 6 months after it's granted, so we spend it.

BONUS STAGE

Up to $45K in partner perks from companies like ClickHouse, ElevenLabs, Linear and Retool. We only grab what we'd use.

CHEAT CODES

Office hours with Anthropic's applied AI engineers, plus higher API limits.

No equity. No quotas. Nothing to pay back if we use it and walk away. We still have to apply and get approved, though.

STAGE 3 OF 8

YOUR INVENTORY

This is the gear each of us gets with a Premium seat. Every seat gets 5ร— the usage of a Standard seat, which is plenty of room to actually build.

ITEMEQUIPPED โœ“
  • CLAUDE CODEAn agent that works right in the repo. It reads, writes, tests and opens PRs, from the terminal, VS Code, JetBrains or the desktop app.
  • AUTOPILOTBackground and scheduled agents. Hand off a task and go get a coffee.
  • CONNECTORSPlugs into GitHub, Drive, Slack, our databases and our own tools.
  • SKILLSSave our playbooks once, and every seat follows them.
  • BROWSER BOTDrives a real browser and clicks through clunky portals that have no API.
  • ARTIFACTSPuts a page or dashboard in front of a client in minutes.
  • CODE REVIEWA second set of eyes on every PR.
  • API + AGENT SDKPut the same brain inside the stuff we sell.
  • SECRET ITEMThe sea captain on the title screen? I made him with a voice studio running on my own PC. That's the kind of fun stuff you can whip up now.

STAGE 4 OF 8

WORLD MAP

This is the route from "sounds fun" to our first real customer, step by step. Robert does the boring levels. You do the fun ones.

  1. 1-1

    SAY "I'M IN"

Tell me in person, by text, or at lunch. No forms and no email.

  2. 1-2

    GET YOUR GEAR

You get a work email on our domain that forwards to your normal inbox. Claude Team needs one, and it takes two minutes.

  3. 1-3

    THE APPLICATION

As a group we could do this, but somebody has to do the paperwork. Robert's on it. Anthropic says a lot of decisions come back within minutes, and the slow ones take a couple of business days.

  4. 1-4

    SPAWN POINT

If we're approved, everyone gets a Premium seat and a shared GitHub that's ready to go.

  5. ๐Ÿ‘พ

    BOSS FIGHT

We pick one real problem a local business has. We build it, ship it, and find out if it actually helped.

STAGE 5 OF 8

SIDE QUESTS

These are the kinds of jobs we could take on for local businesses. Shops and trades still run on paper, spreadsheets and copy-paste, and we kill that stuff for a living. We'll pick one after talking to a few owners.

๐Ÿ“ฅ INTAKE + BOOKING

Emails, forms and phone notes go into one organized queue, and follow-ups send themselves.

DIFFICULTY โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† LOOT: hours/week

๐Ÿงพ PAPERWORK BOT

Reads invoices and quotes, files them, and flags anything weird.

DIFFICULTY โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† LOOT: fewer errors

๐Ÿ“Š SHEET โ†’ DASHBOARD

Turns a messy spreadsheet into a weekly report the owner actually reads.

DIFFICULTY โ˜…โ˜†โ˜† LOOT: quick win

๐Ÿ’ฌ FAQ ANSWERER

Answers from the business's own info, and hands off to a person when it's not sure.

DIFFICULTY โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… LOOT: fewer calls

๐Ÿ”ง LITTLE TOOLS

Inventory, scheduling and job tracking that are too small for the big guys to bother with.

DIFFICULTY โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† LOOT: repeat work

๐ŸŒ WEBSITES

Fast, simple sites that local shops can actually afford.

DIFFICULTY โ˜…โ˜†โ˜† LOOT: easy sell

STAGE 6 OF 8

CHOOSE YOUR ENDING

These are the three ways this can go. Every one of them is a win, because nobody puts in money and nobody quits their job.

GAME OVER?

It makes $0. We still had a free year with the best tools out there, and we keep all the XP.

BEER MONEY ENDING

Pizza and beers are on the project. Honestly, this is the ending we're going for.

SECRET ENDING

It makes real money. We split it fair, put it in writing, and have some fun.

Trillions of dollars went into this tech, and somebody's going to bring it to the businesses around here. It might as well be the guys who remember dial-up.

STAGE 7 OF 8

READ THE MANUAL

Yeah, I checked for the catch. Click any question for the straight answer.

IS IT GUARANTEED?

No. Anthropic reviews every application, and there are eligibility rules Robert will check before applying. If they say no, we can still build stuff on our own tools.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YEAR ONE?

I'll set reminders before it ends, and we decide together to keep it, shrink it, or drop it. No surprise charges, and nothing paid gets turned on without asking everybody.

INFINITE LIVES?

No. Each seat is one person, and every seat has usage limits. Premium's limits are 5ร— a Standard seat's, though. That's a lot.

WHO OWNS THE LOOT?

Before we take on a real paying customer, we put the split and the ownership in writing. Nobody gets left out.

IS ANTHROPIC SPONSORING THIS?

Nope. This is just us. Claude is the gear we'd use, and if something else fits a job better, we use that instead.

STAGE 8 OF 8

CONTINUE?

9

Inserting a coin means telling Robert "I'm in", in person, by text, whatever. Once 2 or 3 of us are in, the paperwork gets filed and the game starts. Loot not guaranteed. Fun mostly guaranteed.
